The Bristol Pride code of conduct applies to everyone who volunteers for Bristol Pride. It outlines our expectations for conduct and behaviour when representing the charity.

Bristol Pride volunteers are expected to:
Act with integrity and honesty.
Undertake any necessary training for your role, as recommended by Bristol Pride.
Avoid the consumption of alcohol or psychoactive substances before and during your volunteering shift, and ensure you sober to carry out your role.
Listen to and respect other staff, volunteers and audience members.
Treat everyone fairly and without prejudice or discrimination.
Ensure language is appropriate, inclusive and not offensive or discriminatory.
Ensure any equipment is used safely and for its intended purpose.
Report any breaches of this Code of Conduct or any concerns to a staff member or volunteer supervisor.
Respect everyone’s right to personal privacy including not taking photographs or videos at our events without the explicit permission of those featured.
Ensure that Bristol Pride is made aware as soon as possible if you are unable to complete your volunteering commitments.

Anyone who we believe is unable to uphold these expectations may be asked to stop volunteering and no longer invited to volunteer in future.
Anyone who is found to be engaging in illegal or harmful behaviour will be asked to leave our event and reported to any relevant authorities.
